Morgan is an Art Director specializing in brand systems and marketing.

Born and raised on the Texas Gulf Coast, I traveled inland to earn my BFA at Texas State university which catapulted me into a creative career. From Shiny Object to, Red Hat, IBM, leading Samsung Mobile US’s social channels and now contracting with Charles Schwab, I lead marketing campaigns to new business pitches while also picking up freelance work.

Outside of work, I’m usually making multi-media art in my studio, volunteering with the Austin Modern Quilt Guild, or goofing with friends.

  • Led data-driven content creation for Samsung Mobile USA social media (1.1 million followers on Instagram), Paid, and B2B accounts. 

  • Concepted, created, and sold new work to Samsung and other prospective clients across all lines of business.

  • Managed and directed a team of 7 copywriters and art directors.

  • Built creative team processes with our accounts and strategy teams that set standards for high-quality work on fast-paced projects.

  • Launched the SamsungUS TikTok account which during my time grew to over 210k followers and 1.3 million likes.

  • Managed client expectations and relationships during and after the pitch process.

Senior Art Director at IBM 2020–2021

  • Used data-driven insights to design campaigns from concept to execution for @IBM global social channels with a copywriter partner. 

  • Mentored, nurtured and led  junior designers to help them grow as creatives.

  • Contributed to the IBM Design Language Illustration Guidelines.

Visual Designer at IBM  2017–2020

  • Art directed major social campaigns for @IBM global channels such as Pride which was the best performing Pride social media campaign in IBM’s history.

  • Created and managed a brand-approved repository of graphics and illustrations for social channels to reuse to increase efficiency.

  • Led a popular coffee shop coworking event series to break silos across the marketing teams.

  • Created campaigns for @IBMCloud global social channels promoting B2B events and products. 

  • Collaborated and managed relationships with various IBM Cloud product managers.

Visual Designer at Red Hat  2015–2017

  • Designed the Red Hat Developers website, booth graphics, t-shirts, and open-source project branding.

  • Created storyboards and designed and illustrated files prepped for animation.
